Multimedia data and Multimedia communication are core parts of multiple areas in today’s society including politics, economics, industries, militaries, and entertainment. For that reason, one of the most challenging security tasks these days is to secure multimedia data by providing confidentiality, integrity, and identity or ownership. Techniques such as digital watermarking, data encryption, multimedia authentication, and digital rights management, among others, are proposed to address the security problems but still facing many challenges due the special characteristics of the multimedia data. The International Workshop on Multimedia Data and Networks Security (MDNS) aims to bring together researchers from academia and industry and give them the opportunity to present their contributions to the field. We solicit papers covering various topics in the field that include but are not limited to the following:
- Efficient multimedia data encryption
